The approved suppliers, Mitsubishi Motors, sees its 26th year of world class Horse Trials over a 3 day event in May.

Mitsubishi Motors Horse Trials historic course in parkland is designed this year by Eric Winter and will provide class entertainment for over 160,000. With this number of attendances, Badminton becomes one of the top 10 sporting occassions of the year.
Badminton house is the family home of the 11th Duke of Beaufort who was also a very successful rider and came 2nd in 1959, he is also the president of the horse trials.

The first event was held in 1949 and is still the toughest equestrian event in history. The youngest rider to take victory was Richard Walker in 1969 who was 18 years old, the oldest rider to win was Mark Todd in 2011 aged 55.
